Strike a Pose!

We love our little Olivia so much. She is always happy and smiling. Whenever we put a camera in front of her, she gets a huge smile on her face. Her smiles are contagious. We just can't seem to get enough of her.

After a Christmas party the other night, Bailey was feeling in the Christmas spirit. Here are some more random things she took to bed with her.

Suns Game!

The other night, Marcus' dad gave us 8th row tickets to the Suns game. I've only been to two Suns games before, and I sat in the nose bleeds. This was much more enjoyable.

The highlight of the night was the perv in front of us who only took out his binoculars when the suns dancers came out. His wife was sitting right next to him. I guess the eighth row wasn't close enough for him. We laughed every time he took them out. SICKO!

Bailey at Preschool

I'm lucky enough to have Bailey and Livvy in my Preschool class. They both love it a ton and have made lots of friends.

Leah, Shelby, and Bailey
We made Indian and Pilgrim costumes for Thanksgiving, and then had a feast.
As a class, we made a Gingerbread house.
We also made Christmas trees out of sugar cones, frosing, and candy. Bailey loves making anything that she can eat.

Bedtime

Every night at bedtime, Bailey wants to bring something different to bed with her. Last night, she had to sleep with the newspaper, a lid to a jar, and a head off of a wooden doll. We don't know where she gets her randomness...probably from her dad.

Time to Eat!

Olivia recently started eating some regular foods, and she LOVES it. She has a combo of beans and cheereos all over her arms and face and she's pretty excited about it.

My Darling Niece and Nephew

Danika on her blessing day.
Kaimen on his blessing day.

This last Sunday, my sister and her husband blessed thier darling little babies. These babies are little miracles. For those of you who don't know my sister, she was in the hospital for about 7 weeks before delivering her twins, Kaimen and Danika. They were born at 27 weeks, and have had quite the journey. We feel very lucky and blessed that she made it that long. They were in the NICU for about 3 months, and are finally home. They are both on oxygen, but doing amazingly well. We had the blessing at my mom's house because they can't be out in public. It was a wonderful day. We feel so lucky to have them as a part of our family and our lives.

The Family Fun Van

Each Thursday, I take my kids to an elmentary school where they have tons of fun activities for my girls. The "Family Fun Van" goes to a different elementary school in mesa each day of the week. It's sort of like a mini preschool. My kids always have a ton of fun.

They have a new theme each week, and read stories that relate to that theme.

Bailey loves music and movement time, even though she doesn't always dance.

At the end of the day, they get to make a craft and go home with a free book. I'm always a fan of anything free. Here are a few of the books we've gotten. I know how hard it can be to find stuff for the kids to do. This is just one idea.

Halloween

Bailey loved dressing as Belle. She thought she was pretty hot stuff.
Livvy was a little poodle. Doesn't she look cute?

Marcus and I TRIED to loook like John McCain and Sara Palin. At least it was better than our attempt last year when we dressed as Rosie O'Donell and Donald Trump. When we went trick-or-treating with Bailey, some people loved our costumes, but Obama fans weren't as much in favor.

You Know You're A Bad Parent When...

You know you're a bad parent when your child can sing all of the words to "Soulja Boy'' (taught to her by her aunts and uncles),

and when you laugh at your child instead of comforting her when she falls off the couch. I thought both of these videos were kind of funny.

Schnepf Farms

Each year we go to Schnepf Farms in October. This was Olivia's first year, and it sort of started out rough for her. When we got there, we had both girls in the double stroller. When I took Bailey out of the front, it was too heavy in the back, and the whole stroller flipped over. Poor little Livvy was face down in the dirt. She was pretty sad about it, but was ok. Right after that, we decide to go on a train ride. We didn't realize that the train ride was haunted, so she got freaked out even more. After her traumatic experience, she was alright and we had fun the rest of the night.

Bailey's favorite part of the night was the pony ride. She felt like such a big girl because we let her ride all by herself. When we tried to say hi and wave to her from the side, she said, "No, stop!" and waved us off. She acted like a teenager who was embarrassed by her parents.

The girls had so much fun at the petting zoo. Bailey is obsessed with goats. It took us a while to drag her away when it was time to leave.
Daddy and Livvy at the petting zoo. Livvy loves to pose for pictures.
We ended the night with some fireworks and a stop at the pumpkin patch. Bailey picked out her very own minerature pumpkin. Her face was still a little messy from the chili she ate earlier. They got a little freaked out by the fireworks, as you can probably tell from the startled looks on their faces. I think they were done for the night.

Our Future American Idol

One of Bailey's favorite things to do is sing. Here's a little clip of her singing "5 Little Speckled Frogs" after waking up in the morning.

Funny Moments

Bailey is our little ball of energy. If she didn't make us laugh, she'd probably drive us crazy. As she talks more and more, her comments become more entertaining. Here are just a few "Funny Moments" over the past couple of weeks.

Bailey is obsessed with princesses. When we put this dress on Olivia, she said, "Oh cute, she's like a baby princess."

  • Last night, Olivia had fallen asleep in her car seat, and Bailey decided be artistic and color all over her with black marker. Olivia didn't seem to mind one bit.
  • Bailey calls everyone "she", even boys. The other day Marcus was walking up stairs, and Bailey asked,"Where Daddy go?" I responded, "Upstairs." She said," Oh, she put make-up on!" Marcus didn't really appreciate that comment. He wanted me to clarify that he was definetely not putting on make-up.
  • Lately, Bailey has been calling me sweetheart and honey. I asked her if she wanted to go to grandmas, and she said, "No, not today honey."

Our Little Munchkins!

Olivia was born February 13, 2008. She is such a sweetie and always has a smile on her face. She's chubby and totally happy about it. She will be 7 months this week and is moving around like crazy. Olivia is a great addition to our little family.

Bailey is 2 1/2 and very mischievious. She is always looking for something to get into. She always wants to help mom cook, and she LOVES frosting.

Sisterly Love

Our girls totally love each other. It's so cute to watch them interact. Olivia loves to watch Bailey dance around and sing. She gets so excited, and kicks those chubby little legs. It's the best! Bailey is really sweet with Olivia as well. Sometimes she gets a little over excited and squeezes her head a little hard. Let's just say I can't leave them in the same room for too long. Olivia is at he stage right now where she loves to grab at things. She grabbed a chunk of Bailey's hair from her head, and Bailey got mad and said, "No Livvy, that's my hair," and tried to put it back on her hair. Pretty cute! Having two girls is the best. Never a dull moment.
